Picture a lake house near Tahoe. It sleeps six, the guests love it, and you live four hours away. Between one checkout and the next check-in, nobody is there.
An alarm on its own cannot know that the family arriving on Friday is meant to be there, or that the cleaners come at ten on Sunday. So hosts switch it off, and the house is guarded by a lockbox and hope.
Vacation Home closes that gap. You paste your listing’s calendar link once, and from then on the house knows when it is meant to be busy and when it is meant to be empty. Here is one week, and what it saves you: the long drive to check, the nagging worry, and the awkward message to a guest.
Setting up
Paste one link. The calendar does the rest.
In the SecureProtect app, Vacation Home is a step in your Halo settings. Paste your listing’s calendar link (Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com and cleaning apps such as Turno all share one), add your cleaners’ calendar if they keep their own, and check the times: 3 pm check-in and 10 am checkout by default, with a five-hour cleaning window. Paste, check, save.
Sunday · 10:04 am · checkout
The Keller family pull out of the driveway with their kayaks on the roof. You are two hundred miles away, at the Sunday market.
What jupyter does. Checkout has passed, so jupyter stays stood down for the cleaning window. Nothing sounds while the cleaners work.
Sunday · 10:24 am · the garage
One of the cars jupyter saw all week drives off. The garage door is still open behind it.
What jupyter does. You get a card on your phone, with the picture: the garage was left open after checkout. You know before the cleaners arrive, and can ask them to shut it. jupyter never moves the door on its own.
Sunday · 3:05 pm · ready for the next guests
The cleaners have locked up and gone. You are wondering whether they remembered the garage, the back door, the parcel that was due.
What jupyter does. A single check tells you: cleaners gone, garage shut, doors closed, no parcel waiting, the Hub online. Ready for the next guests. And now the house arms itself.

Between stays
An empty house that does not look empty.
From the end of cleaning to two hours before the next check-in, the house protects itself: the sounds of a lived-in home from the Halo, parcel watch, alerts for anyone lingering, and the siren for breaking glass, a loud bang or a call for help.
Tuesday · 2:40 am · the back deck
Someone has driven past twice since Sunday. No cars in the driveway, no lights, no one in two days. Tonight he walks up the side path and stops at the back deck, looking in at the windows.
What jupyter does. LoiterAI notices someone lingering where nobody should be, and you get an alert with the clip while he is still there. If glass breaks, the Halo sounds its siren. With Helios Pro, jupyter can also call you and then a number you supply, such as the local police station’s normal line. It never dials 000, and what happens next is your decision.
Wednesday · 11:15 am · a delivery
The replacement coffee grinder you ordered for the kitchen arrives. It sits by the front door for two days before the next guests.
What jupyter does. Parcel watch is on whenever the house is empty. You know it arrived, and you hear about it if anyone other than the courier reaches for it.
During a stay
Guests arrive to a quiet house.
While guests are booked in, and while the cleaners get the place ready, jupyter stands down. It steps back two hours before check-in, so early arrivals are never met by a siren. Outdoor cameras still record when they detect something, as they always do. There are no indoor cameras.
Friday · 1:30 pm · an early arrival
Priya and her friends arrive an hour and a half early, tired from the drive and hoping the door code works.
What jupyter does. Check-in is at three, and jupyter stood down at one. They walk into a quiet house, not a siren. If you need a different buffer for a listing, you set it.
Saturday · 10:40 pm · a quiet word
The booking says four guests. The driveway says otherwise.
What jupyter does. You enter the guest count when you set up the stay, since calendars do not include it. When the outdoor cameras see far more people than the booking allows for, you get a card with a snapshot of the group, and you choose whether to reach out to them yourself.

Halo Concierge
A welcome, by name.
Switch on Halo Concierge and the Indoor Halo becomes the host who is always there.
Friday · 3:12 pm · the welcome
Priya’s friends are carrying the bags in when the Halo speaks up: “Hi Priya, welcome to Lakeview. A few house rules before you settle in.”
What jupyter does. Concierge uses the first name you entered for the booking. It never recognises faces. It reads your house rules, answers questions about the house from the guide you write, and reminds them about checkout on the last morning. It listens only for its wake word, “Hey jupyter”. You switch it on, and guests are told it is there. If a guest asks it to call you, it places a call to you; for everything else it points them to your house guide.
Every stay
Every stay and every gap, handled.
Whether the next guests arrive tomorrow or at the weekend, the calendar does the work. Booked nights mean the house steps back. The nights in between mean it stays armed, with the sounds of a home that is lived in, so it never looks like nobody has been there for days.
The 1st of the month · the report
You have a cabin in the Catskills and a chalet in the Smoky Mountains as well as the lake house. You have never been to all three in the same month.
What jupyter does. A monthly report for each home tells you how it spent the month, in a few plain lines, and one view shows all your properties at a glance. A Vacation Mode switch turns the Halo dashboard into a host’s view.
“A host should never have to choose between an alarm that scares the guests and no alarm at all.”Temi Akinloye
