When you visit our website, we automatically collect:

2.3 Information from Jupyter Products
Our smart home security products (Jupyter Hub, Halo cameras, sensors) may collect:
Important: Video and audio captured by Jupyter devices is processed and stored locally on your device by default. We do not have access to your camera feeds unless you explicitly enable cloud features.

Your personal data is stored on servers located in Australia. Our e-commerce platform (Shopify) may process data in their US and Canadian facilities, subject to appropriate safeguards.

7. Jupyter Product Privacy
7.1 Local Processing
Jupyter devices are designed with privacy in mind. All AI processing for face recognition, motion detection, and behavior analysis happens locally on your Jupyter Hub. Your video footage never leaves your home network unless you explicitly choose to enable cloud features.
7.2 What We Can't See
- Your camera feeds
- Your recorded videos
- Faces of people in your home
- Audio from your devices
7.3 What We Can See (with your permission)
- Device online/offline status
- Firmware version
- Error logs (for troubleshooting)
- Feature usage statistics (anonymized)
7.4 Third-Party Integrations
If you connect Jupyter to third-party services (e.g., smart home platforms), those services may have access to certain data according to their own privacy policies. Review their policies before connecting.
7.5 Voice AI & Text Summary (Coming Q3 2026)
Voice AI and Text Summary are optional subscription features scheduled for release in Q3 2026. These are the only paid features in the Jupyter ecosystem - all core AI features remain free.
If you choose to subscribe to Voice AI:
- Voice queries are processed locally on your Jupyter Hub first
- Only the text query (not audio) may be sent to our servers for processing
- Event summaries are generated from metadata only - video content is never sent to the cloud
- You can disable Voice AI at any time without affecting core functionality
8. Cookies & Tracking

10. International Transfers
If you are outside Australia, your data may be transferred to and processed in Australia. For EU/UK customers, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

- Notify affected individuals as soon as practicable
